La Danse Macabre
La Danse Macabre is the latest single released by my band 'LOVERS' around Halloween. It's a fun, loud, and spooky character piece about going to a cemetery and being possessed by a supernatural force based off of the theme from Saint-Saëns' composition of the same title. This single is special because It was the first song that the band and I recorded completely independently exclusively in the living room of my house.
Übermensch
The song 'Übermensch' is my personal favourite from my bands album 'Punk Lust Romantics'. Always fun to perform this song and I've always felt it was a high point on the album as a whole that truly captures the nostalgic mood while presenting a profound message of growing up in the local music scene and uncertainties about the future.
White Rabbit
White Rabbit is the first single my band 'LOVERS' released returning to the stage after a series of COVID-19 lockdowns and quickly became the bands most listened to song on all streaming sites. It is also a part of the bands latest album 'Punk Lust Romantics' which is a compilation of songs written in the isolation of COVID-19 lockdowns from mid-2020 to mid-2021.
Lemon Trees and Poppy Seeds
Not much to say about this one, 'Lemon Trees and Poppy Seeds' was one of the more popular songs off of my second solo full length album. This project was mostly made up of songs that were unfinished for an extended period of time, cut from previous releases, of just some fun ideas that I didn't think would work for my bands music. It's a bit of a mess in terms of an album with a range of styles and contrasting textures but I never truly intended to make something that wasn't a scrappy hodgepodge of unused material, hence the title 'This Album Sucks and You'll Probably Hate It!'.
Mars Rover
This is a song off of my second solo release "Moving to Mars" under my personal label "SHED". It's about wanting to escape the hardships and stress of life on earth in favour of a simple life on mars. Perhaps life on mars, simply just "chilling with the mars rover," could be a more satisfying way of life. This year especially has been quite difficult to take in. With all of the riots, threats of war, unnecessary death, COVID-19, the ongoing climate emergency, etc... It's become difficult to seize the day when it almost feels like the day has seized you. But alas, there is always hope that things will get better. That you can do something better. Whether it be as simple as getting better grades in school, or as crazy as finding an actual way to move to mars, your life is what you make of it. You just have to give it your best try.

The End Is Now
This song is the title track to my first ever solo ep "The End Is Now,". It is one of my more satirical efforts that I wrote only a day after the first provincial COVID-19 shut down. With so many things already happening at the time this really felt like this was the start of the end of the world. The song itself jokingly pokes fun at a lot of modern issues and the casual acceptance that everything is going to end. The song directly points out many things that have been noticeably getting worse over the years. It's almost as if we should have seen it coming. But if there's nothing else we can do why not embrace it. And there lies the true message. We really do have to make the most of what we have when we have it, because once it is gone we want to have been worth it.

Too Dumb to Try
"Beware of the Lazer Snail" was the first album I have ever released with my band "The Shady Bunch" back in June 2019. It is mostly a compilation of songs that I wrote when I was in high school when I was 16-17 years old that the band had been performing for a while. I learnt a lot during the making of this album especially during the recording process when we were in the local recording studio "The Sugar Shack". I not only learnt what it was like to record in a studio but I also learnt some techniques and strategies that I used to help me record my own solo EP's and singles. In the process of writing this album I found a real sense of style for the band and developed my own process for writing songs in the future. Creating this album was a huge stepping stone for my future projects and my personal development as a local rock/punk artist.
